Fast Play, Old West Skirmish Rules (A Fan Page)

We really enjoyed playing the Old West game called Ruthless by Mark Fastoso and Brian DeWitt. It can be found for free at Mark’s Game Room website here. There are also several scenarios available (many for free) there and at littlewarstv.com. We’ve only tried the Dodge City Draw scenario so far but if they all are nearly as fun as that one, I’m sure we’ll eventually get and play them all!
Speaking of the folks at Little Wars TV, they did an excellent job with a learn to play Ruthless tutorial and a play through of the scenario High Plains Drifter. Check them both out:

I’ll have to come back and post more later but for now, the below photo shows our current collection of Old West figures. The mounted figures are separate from the horses, and most have a matching pose on foot. These work great for any games where characters can mount/dismount during the course of a game session.

We also have these super cool character stat trackers. Don’t look like a green horn; play in style with one of these! Include tokens for all the available traits, wounds, and game situations, plus empty casings to track ammo. It even has a convenient spring clip to hold a image of the boards character to help keep the individual panels matched up to the correct figures. A boxed starter set is in the works.
